Wild Card Weekend
Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots
Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks
New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers
The 2 superpowers roll on in the AFC. Brady and Manning still prove they've still got it. Eagles blitz rips up Hasselbeck, and New Orleans struggles while trying to come back from an early Packer lead.
Divisional Playoffs
New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Brady throws for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns against the blitzing Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh abandons the running game too early and Roethlisburger spends all day running for his life and getting helped up off the ground.
Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers
The Chargers will wrap their division early and give Ladanian Tomlinson time to rest. This year he will ACTUALLY play in the playoffs. The Colts will continue to have their problems with Darren Sproles and the Chargers.
Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons
No game will get more hype than this in this round. EVERYONE will be talking about the matchup between the 2 QBs, Rogers and Ryan. "The future of the NFL"; "The next Brady vs. Manning"... and so on and so on. The game won't live up to the potential because there is no possible way it could. Matt Ryan will play well, but Green Bays secondary will intercept him twice. The analyists will be right about 1 thing though... this will be the beginning of a great rivalry.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants
This game will be a blood bath. 2 teams that hate each other, playing for the 3rd time on the season. The 2 most physical teams in the NFC just kicking the shit out each other. Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora will be all over McNabb and Westbrook will most likely be battling some type of injury by this point. It will be a low scoring game but the Giants will prevail.
Conference Championship
New England Patriots vs. San Diego Chargers
I know the rule.... "just compare the coaches." I am really picking Norv Turner over Bill Belichick?! Seriously!? Yes I am. Phillip Rivers is a winner. There is no doubt about it. He nearly beat a 17-0 New England Patrioits team in Foxboro 2 years ago in the AFC Championship. And he had to get knee surgery after the season was over. A little know fact about Phillip Rivers. He is the only player in the history of college football to win Bowl MVP all 4 years of college. EVER! That guy gets the job done. Ladanain will be able to run on a declining, aging Patriots defense and Sproles will be all over the place. San Diego's defense will step up and make plays when it is needed. It will be high scoring. Somewhere along 34-24.
Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants
The physical play of New York and the consistent pressure from the D-line will drive Aaron Rogers crazy. He will make mistakes and New York will walk away with this one. Green Bay will win an NFC Championship soon, just not this year.
Super Bowl
San Diego Chargers vs. New York Giants
Again this breaks the golden rule. "Always compare the coaches." Maybe I have too much faith in Phillip Rivers. Maybe I think Ladanain Tomlinson won't be a pussy in the playoffs this year (Which I do. He will feel he has something to prove this year) 8 times someone has won Super Bowl MVP and at least one of the regular season MVP awards. (United press, AP... etc) It wont happen this year though. Rivers has a good game and throws for 2 touchdowns, but Tomlinson steals the show. 140 yrds rushing 1 TD and another one through the air.
Final score: 31-17
